Exercise Your Way to Arthritis Relief

Exercise Your Way to Arthritis Relief

The title of this article may sound counterintuitive but it’s true that you can exercise your way to arthritis relief. When you suffer from arthritis, the last thing you probably want to do is move around even more. However for those who suffer from arthritis, exercise is critical to increase strength, flexibility, reduce joint pain, control weight, and combat fatigue.

When you don’t exercise, your joints will become even more aggravated and painful. This is because as the supporting muscles are weakened from lack of exercise, it adds more stress to the joints.

Exercise takes all forms so start small and work up from there. Don’t overdo yourself and be sure to go slowly. If you experience sharp pain that is stronger than normal, it may be an indication that something is wrong. Talk with your doctor about an exercise plan that will work best for you.
