As winter is coming to an end, competitive training events are fast approaching. There are many popular competitions such as 5K runs, charity runs, Iron Man, half marathons, and full marathons. Also on the rise in popularity are obstacle course competitions. These competitions will surely test your limits. To name a few, here are some popular obstacle course competitions: Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, Epic Series Obstacle Challenge, Savage Race, Rugged Maniac, BoneFrog Challenge, Zombie Mud Run, Ultimate Challenge Mud Run, Camp Pendleton Mud Run, Warrior Dash, and Muckfest MS.

Some of these races take dedication and extensive training. However many of them are designed to provide a fun but challenging experience. If you go into one of these races being out of shape, you might just have a miserable experience rather than a fun one. Competitive training can give you an edge on the competition. Another factor to consider is that some of these competitions require teamwork and you do not want to be the team’s weakest link.
