Strength training will improve your range of motion and increase muscle strength. Increasing muscle mass will result in less strain on your joints.
Cycling either outdoors or on a stationary bike is a great aerobic activity. Cycling will strengthen your heart and lungs and improve your overall health.
Yoga will help you improve your body awareness through stretching, moving your joints, increased coordination, and balance.
If you suffer from arthritis in your hands, hand exercises can help relieve the pain and swelling in your joints. A lack of exercise can contribute to arthritis pain. Keeping up with exercise is vital to reducing joint pain.
Exercises at home can include simple daily activities such as cleaning your home, raking leaves, mowing the lawn, gardening, etc. These exercises can help improve your balance, strength, and flexibility.
Swimming is a low impact exercise on your joints because the water helps support your body weight. This in turn reduces the impact on your joints. You can swim or simply perform exercises by standing or while keeping yourself afloat. Examples of swimming exercises are leg raises, leg stretches, walking, bringing your knees to your chest, and making a paddling motion with your arms.
The exercises mentioned above are easy to do at home with the exception of swimming unless you have a pool. At Mobile Workout, we are dedicated to improving the health of our clients.
